Fine homes since 1964

Back in 1964, a young man had a vision. Peter Stannard began a homebuilding business from the humble surroundings of his undercroft garage, working at a desk made from a door balanced on two 44-gallon drums.

Awarded and admired

With his wife and business partner Judy by his side, he was driven by a desire to build fine homes to a quality standard at a fair price. Peter Stannard Homes went on to become one of the most awarded and admired residential builders in Australia, and he is considered a trailblazer in the premium homebuilding industry.

A new era of fresh ideas

Peter is still a hands-on force in the business he founded and his enduring passion for the job often sees him checking jobs late in the evening or on weekends. Now he is joined by his son Glenn Stannard, a registered builder, and along with a vibrant young team who are reinvigorating the company with fresh ideas and energy balanced by the wisdom of experience.
